Aquatic Invasive Species Project Intern

Waukesha County is seeking a full-time summer intern to assist with Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) education, prevention, and outreach from May 29th – September 4th 2017. Duties will include performing watercraft inspections at boat landings on County lakes and assisting the AIS Coordinator with outreach and education, lake surveys, and AIS removal efforts. Much of the time will be spent at boat launches, on various types of watercraft, and in the water. There will be an emphasis on increasing AIS awareness and education to boaters, anglers, classrooms, and the general public. Training and work direction will be provided by the AIS Coordinator.
