UW Organic and Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension

As a crew member of the Organic and Sustainable Agriculture Research Lab at UW Madison, you’ll be engaged in research projects that seek to advance sustainable production systems. Our projects are diverse and involve vegetable production, corn, soy, and small grain growing. In this position, you’ll get hands-on field experience, meet and work with UW-Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) faculty, staff, and students, and learn about organic and sustainable food production and research through daily interactions and occasional educational field trips. Successful applicants can look forward to long days of outdoor work, including planting, weeding, irrigating, collecting data, harvesting, etc. The work will be physically demanding and often repetitive, but satisfying, and with your help: Fun. Work will occur at research stations and farms throughout Dane and neighboring counties, with transportation to all sites provided from campus.
