Seventhwave is seeking candidates with a desire to apply both reason and creativity towards the
creation of a sustainable energy society. We are a private non-profit organization that is mission
driven, independent, and objective. We seek practical solution paths among a world of
competing interests to create a more energy efficient and healthy built environment.
This position is expected to work part time between 20 and 32 hours per week with the
possibility of extending to full time. Full health care and other benefits included.
Primary responsibilities
 Assist with evaluating energy efficiency and renewable energy strategies in buildings,
campuses, communities or regional settings
 Quantify energy system performance, emissions reduction potential, cost-benefit metrics
 Assist with conducting primary and secondary research related to energy and sustainability
 Assist with communicating results in written, graphical, and presentation formats
Desired skills and experience
 Experience with processing large data sets using software or programming languages such as
Stata, SAS, R, Python or other
 Basic understanding of statistics and quantitative methods including regression analysis
 Ability to convey technical information using charts, graphs or other visualization methods
 Fundamental knowledge of energy concepts
 Ability to work independently or collaboratively, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
 Strong written and communication skills
 Proficiency in MS software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Other beneficial skills
 Basic understanding of and experience with database management concepts
 Experience with building energy audits
 Experience with utility billing data
 Experience with data acquisition systems such as Campbell Scientific equipment and
 Building energy modeling
 Field research experience
 Experience with geographic information systems
