Recycling Data Management Specialist

The DNR is looking for a detail-oriented person with good communications skills to help manage recycling data collection and analysis. This position is posted as an LTE, but is not a seasonal position with a specific end date.

30% Administration of recycling annual reporting: Ensure Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Responsible Unit (RU) annual report is updated and made available online or in hard copy to ~90 self-certified MRFs and ~1,100 local government contacts. Work with MRF and RU contacts to facilitate timely report submittal, providing technical assistance as needed.

30% Evaluate local RU recycling programs: Conduct desktop, phone and in-person evaluations of local recycling programs' effective program status, ensuring compliance with standards in ch. 287, Stats., and ch. NR 544, Wis. Adm. Code.

30% Recycling program data management: Working with WMM program data specialist, maintain databases on recycling tonnage data and other data from annual reports, perform data quality assurance, create data reports as needed. Work with program data specialist to track and report on other program data relating to recycling and material recovery

10% Other duties as assigned: Assist in preparing for meetings, presentations, annual reports, writing minutes, etc.
