Douglas J. Reinemann

Research topics: Doug is professor and Chair of the Biological Systems Engineering department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He is also affiliated with the Dairy Science Department, the Agroecology Program, and the Center for Integrated Ag Systems in CALS, the Energy Analysis and Policy Program in the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, and the American Indian Studies Program in the College of Letters and Science. Doug has been working at the interface between energy and agricultural systems for the past 25+years. His studies have included the environmental impacts of biofuels production systems, integrating renewable energy resources into the energy distribution grid, and understanding the cultural ecology of food, energy and water systems.
